How I manage My Stress
and Pain
By Chimanlal Patel, Ph. D.
Following are the ways I use to manage arthritis pain:
Listen to light classical music with little louder volume. I have found that intensity of music is very important to be helpful.
Take all medications regularly.
Eat foods that are well cooked. I take foods such as soups and canned beans.
Stand in front of the mirror and speak out your weaknesses and drawbacks in a confessional accepting mode.
Sing music that you like little loudly. This helps overcome shyness or introvertness that many of us are suffering from.
Go to temple and thank God for creating me as human being . This is the only opportunity one gets to accomplish Moksha or Nirvana.
Try to understand and follow Isha Upanishad. Read Vedas , Upanishads and Geeta to remain as a Hindu in good standing.
Develop and actively pursue some hobbies. I have pursued hobbies such as growing vegetables and collecting. Try to learn as much as you can about your hobbies.
Try to find new ways and means to improve things that you have.
These things keep my mind very busy and leads me to remain as close as possible to
Sachidanand state suggested by Lord Vishnu.
